To be inserted inside the steerer tube of a threaded headset (also known as a threaded steerer tube which are found on some bmx bikes, old road bikes as well as old mountain bikes.).

Once inserted it acts as a quill stem with the locking mechanism putting it into place leaving a threadless area to insert a eadless stem (standard modern day stem).

(28.6mm) 1 1/8" outer diameter to place the new stem on.

(22.2mm) inner diameter of steerer to put this adapter onto. (Standard quill stem insert ckness for a 1" steerer tube)
